As a part of activities conducted by Edwin Linux Lab, Prof. Vishal Vanaki took a workshop of 5 days on “C Programming language” on 10th Dec 2021
Prof Vishal took a 5 days’ workshop on C Programming Language. Started with the basics of C and thought about all the concepts from the Root. He gave the many examples and stories related to the concepts to make them more understandable. The students were asked many queries and session was completely interactive.
Finally, after 5 days of the workshop, we gave a vote of thanks and winded up the session. About 30 Students were actively involved in the session and the feedback back was collected. The students were satisfied with the workshop.

As a part of activities conducted by Edwin Linux Lab, Mr. Akash M gave a talk on “CYBER SECURITY ” on 25th Nov 2020.

Akash M explained the various concepts of Cyber Security. Students were introduced to Network and networking concepts. All the students learnt about IP address, MAC address, Modem, Router, firewall. Further, students were made aware of activities on internet, by getting familiar with Cyber-attacks and how to protect them.

Mr. Aksha also addressed about Honey Pot, DDOS during his talk. About 25 students of the 4th years were attended the talk.

Vedanth V gave a talk on Linux Open Source Environment. Students learnt many things about Linux and open source. We learnt many commands and the way to use Linux OS. We also had a group presentation of the topics given. Students also got a very good image, Linux and its user interface. Has we had to research the topics, students learnt in-depth on IoT Linux, Different types of OS, Networking, Hacking.

RESOURCE PERSON: MR. SATHVIK
As a part of activities conducted by Edwin Lab, Prof. Sathvik, NITK Surathkal gave a talk on “Problem Solving Skills” on 11th Feb 2021.
Prof Sathvik said Problem-solving skills help you determine the source of a problem and find an effective solution. Although problem-solving is often identified as its own separate skill, there are other related skills that contribute to this ability.
Finally, after students’ queries, gave vote of thanks and winded up the session. About 30 students were actively involved in the session.
