The department Civil Engineering, Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology Moodbidri, inaugurated Civiation forum followed by technical talk on “Micro characterization of gel and capillary pores of hydrated cement paste” on 03rd December 2022. Resource person of the talk was Dr. Palanisamy assistant professor department of Civil Engineering; NITK Surathkal. The resource person addressed the students about basics of hydration process, various products of hydration process and how the concrete achieves the strength. He also discussed micro characterization of gel and capillary pores of hydrated cement paste. All the students of civil engineering were participated in this event.
