Christmas event brought together our students, staff and well-wishers in the preparations from meetings to organise the event, decorations, crib and Christmas card competitions to the Christmas carol singing and practice. It remains a memorable event in the minds of all participants and the history of our daily growing institution. From the youngest of us in the institution to the very topmost leadership, we all were brought together in the spirit of love and harmony working together over the weeks of preparation and establishing lasting friendships across the Alva’s Community.
Today it is necessary to foster the bonds of humanity and fusion that dismantle the dividing walls of hate and religion. Relationship is a cross-
border relationship of caste and creed, said Dr Peter Pawl Saldanha, Religious President of Mangalore Region. Speaking at the Alvas Christmas Celebration ceremony held at the Ratnakaravarni Forum in Vidyagiri under the auspices of the Alva’s Education Foundation
Chairperson of Dr. M. Mohan Alva said that the contribution of Christians in the field of health and education is unique. If the contribution of saints like Mother Theresa inspires us all, then the message of the life of Christ, who is practicing peace, love and coexistence, is meaningful.
