For the development (Planning and the design) of the Rain Water Harvesting (RWH) system in the campus of the AIET a series of projects were undertaken. We designed a suitable drainage path line, number of percolating pits, which are based on a contour map (i.e. Based on topography of campus), existing roads and also based on economic design. For rain water harvesting, a total amount of water is collected from the roof top of every building and it is directly dumped into the bore well recharge units and water harvesting ponds installed in the vicinity of hostel buildings.
