REPORT OF TALK ON CHALLENGES IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The inauguration of the activities for the academic year 2017-2018 was scheduled to take place on 23/09/2017. The stage was set for a young& dynamic entrepreneur in Mr. Ashwath Hegde, Managing Director, Envi Green Biotech India Pvt. Ltd. to grab eye balls in the auditorium in the presence of Mr. Vivek Alva and Prof. Sanjay S, EDC Co-ordinator.
Mr. AshwathHegde had no second thoughts about admitting that even he was confused in his teen age about where his life would land up similar to that of the crowd which was present in the auditorium, he also admitted the fact that he had tried his luck in different fields before settling with Envi Green Biotech, he urged the students to pursue something, he also shared his experience visiting the Gulf countries where his life had a turn around when he met the emperor of Qatar who identified the potential of Mr. Ashwath Hegde and funded in his venture and he never looked back again thereafter. His idea of substitute of plastic was well received among the public although it faced some hiccups in the beginning, his products are said to be 100% plastic free to which Karnataka pollution control board has placed its assurance. His plant in Bangalore produces 1000 metric tonnes which may sooner or later completely help in realizing the dream of a plastic free world.
Mr. Ashwath Hegde had also bought some samples which his company produces to demonstrate how different his product was from that of the traditional plastic which is harmful to the environment, he made his product completely dissolve in hot water to everyone’s surprise the bag completely dissolved without leaving the traces of the bag, the water also tasted sweeter as the material used to make his bag was fibres of Sweet Potato.
Mr. Vivek Alva heaped praises on Ashwath Hegde and gave full marks to his commitment and to the love towards the nation which he possesed, he also urged the students to draw inspiration from the life of such a personality who was only 2 – 3 years elder than the average age of the crowd present in the auditorium.
The event was considered to be inspirational and a motivating one as the take away from the session was invaluable to the student fraternity wherein they learnt the art of believing in themselves and many more positives was carried on to the other side of the door. Mr. Ashwath Hegde was presented with a memento as a token of respect and love and gratitude towards taking off time to motivate the young budding entrepreneurs of AIET campus.
