Yoga, an ancient Indian discipline, is not just a physical exercise—it is a spiritual and philosophical practice that aims to unify the mind, body, and soul. Recognized by the United Nations as International Yoga Day, June 21st is celebrated worldwide to promote the benefits of yoga for physical and mental health.

At Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology, this day holds immense significance. We believe in nurturing students who are not only academically excellent but also mentally resilient and physically fit. Our celebration of Yoga Day is a reflection of these values.

  • A talk on the science of yoga, explaining how asanas and pranayama contribute to better concentration, emotional regulation, and physical health

  • A guided meditation session to help participants experience inner peace

These sessions were tailored for engineering students who often face academic pressures and long study hours.
