Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology’s Department of Management Studies organised the one-day outdoor event “VANAS” on July 7, 2023, in a paddy field near Yedapadav. which
provided the students with an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with each other. The eventalso helped to promote the importance of preserving our traditional folklore and connecting with
nature.
Sri Jayarama Bhat, a progressive farmer, inaugurated the event, highlighting the significance ofpreserving traditional folklore for students overall development.He stressed the importance of connecting with nature and understanding the value of agriculture in his inaugural address.
The activities, including running races, relays, volleyball, tug-of-war, and treasure hunts,promoted teamwork and problem-solving. Students participated enthusiastically, appreciating the chance to connect with nature and learn about agriculture
