Talk on Startups
Report of Talk on Startups

The Inauguration of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell for the year 2018-2019 was held on 23-08-2018 in the Engineering Seminar hall.

The Guests, Amartya Gupta and Piyush Naveen Bansal, the Co-Founders of “Wheels on Roll”, Dr. Peter Fernandes, Principal of AIET and Mr. Sanjay S, Co-ordinator of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell graced the occasion.

The program started off with the address by Dr Peter Fernandes, Principal, AIET who emphasized on the need for a strong and effective Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) in the college in order to bring out a change in the mind-set of the students to take up Entrepreneurship seriously at the tender age and that the main aim of the EDC was to “Learn and Earn”.

The home of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, the EDC WEBPAGE was launched by the principal of AIET along with the chief guests Mr. Amartya Gupta and Mr. Piyush Bansal.

The chief guests then took over. Mr. Amartya began his address like it was just another hostel story where he and his friends were talking about the general issues around them and one among the issues was the lack of facilities for students to move around the 300acre campus. The survey was carried out using a google form. He emphasized on how they never thought about the future, but they just wanted to keep customers happy and genuinely help them. Mr. Amartya also spoke about how their journey was successful in spite of not having any entrepreneurs or faculties to guide them. This was because they were self-sufficient and very passionate.

This also inspired the students that age doesn’t matter if you really want to be an entrepreneur. If you are passionate enough being an engineering student with a busy academic schedule will also not hamper your journey to be a successful entrepreneur.

The talk was concluded by thanking the guests present and by giving away momentoes by Mr. Sanjay S, Co-Ordinator, EDC as a token of love.
