Guest Talk by Hon’ble Justice N. Santosh Hegde (16 October 2019)

On 16 October 2019, at our Moodbidri campus auditorium, we had the honour of hosting Hon’ble Justice N. Santosh Hegde for a guest talk. This session centred on ethics, integrity and the role of engineering professionals in society. It served as an inspiration for our students to pursue excellence with responsibility.

 Varishta Kreeda Koota – Inter-Department Sports Meet (19–20 October 2019)

On 19 and 20 October 2019, Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology organised Varishta Kreeda Koota, a spirited two-day sports and athletics event at our Mijar campus, Moodbidri. Students from across departments competed in track, field and team events, showcasing teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship.

 iCold 2019 – International Conference on “Laser Deposition, Nano Structures & 2D Layers” (27–29 November 2019)

From 27 to 29 November 2019, we welcomed researchers, academicians and industry experts to the international conference iCold 2019 at Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mangaluru, Karnataka. The discussions explored the frontiers of laser deposition, nanostructures and advanced materials — positioning our institution in a global research dialogue.

Webinar Series – “Future Ahead for Electronics Engineers” (13 June 2020)

On 13 June 2020 (11:00 am-12:30 pm), we launched a webinar series titled “Future Ahead for Electronics Engineers”. This online event addressed career pathways, emerging technologies in electronics and practical tips for students navigating an evolving sector during uncertain times.

Continuing our digital engagement, on 16 June 2020 (11:00 am-12:30 pm), we hosted a detailed session on avionics within the electronics industry. Students learned about aerospace electronics applications and new-age employment opportunities, reinforcing our emphasis on future-ready curricula.
