HomZa Cart Inauguration
HomZa Cart is student start-up program under Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Alva’s Institute of Engineering and technology, Mijar, Moodbidri, D.K. The start-up was inaugurated on 18th November 2019 at Engineering seminar hall of the college.
Chief guest and the start-up were inaugurated by Shri. Vivek Alva, (Managing trustee, Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri). President of the function was Shri. Peter Fernandes, (Principal, Alva’s Institute of Engineering and technology, Mijar, Moodbidri, D.K).
Fr Jose (Priest), Mr Srajan Das (Founder of HomZa Cart), Mr Devadas V J (Father of Srajan Das) Mr Jobin P J (Administrator, Alva’s College of Nursing, Moodbidri), Prof Sanjay S (Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Development Cell) and other Head’s of different departments and faculties and students from different units of the foundation were present.

The main idea of this project is an online Food and Grocery delivery system in the rural areas of India, currently focused in Moodbidri town and its surroundings located in Karnataka, India. We aim to buy the products from farmers who grow crops organically and thereby ensuring pesticide free fruits and vegetables to our customers and help the rural farmers market.
The project also aims to increase internet usage in rural India and make things available for them at their door steps because mobility is a major problem faced by the rural India
