Event: Capacity Development Activity

Objectives of the event :
- To enhance awareness of the corporate world through current affairs, market trends, and business concepts.
- To promote critical thinking and teamwork, encouraging participants to think fast and work together.
- To foster healthy competition in an engaging and intellectually stimulating environment.
As a part of capacity development activity class, the students from I year C section of PG Department of Business Administration had conducted various events. These activities were organized as part of MBA program to enhance student’s analytical, strategic thinking, and presentation skills.
The event consisted of two rounds:
Round 1 – Quiz Round:
The first round focused on testing participant’s general management knowledge and awareness of corporate branding. The quiz included questions related to identifying company logos, recalling famous taglines, and answering other management-related questions.
This round served as a warm-up, allowing participants to showcase their quick thinking and familiarity with the business world. It also helped in building excitement and setting a competitive spirit among the teams.
Round 2 – Group Activity:
In the second round, participants were previously divided into teams and given topics related to companies that had ceased operations in India due to fraud, bankruptcy, increased competition, or lack of innovation. Each team had to analyse the assigned company’s situation, discuss the key reasons behind its failure, and propose strategies for a potential revival.

The activity was both informative and engaging, allowing participants to learn from real-world corporate scenarios while also enjoying the competitive element of the quiz. The event successfully encouraged teamwork and strategic thinking, aligning well with the learning objectives of the department. Ultimately the team RIVALS won the first place, the team ENTHUPRENEUR and SPARKELS won the second place.
Outcomes of the event:
- Students could improve their knowledge about current affairs, market trends, and business concepts.
- Students exhibited teamwork and understood the importance of critical thinking in solving business problem.
