Overview:
As part of the Capacity Development initiative for MBA first-year students, the team BHAGIRA, from Section B organized a dynamic and engaging event. This inter-team business event is designed to test your practical knowledge, analytical thinking, communication skills, and creativity across three dynamic rounds. Participation from all team members is essential. Active involvement, critical thinking, and collaboration will be key to your success.
Inauguration:
The event officially commenced at 2:30 PM under the coordination of Mises Pavithra Jain and Mrs John Fernandes. Joy wilston welcomed the participants and Abhilash Devadiga introduced the rules and regulations for the activities. He then invited the esteemed judges for the day, Pavithra Jain and Mrs John Fernandes, who were present to evaluate the performances and provide insightful feedback throughout the event.

Round 1: Job Descriptions Game
Time: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Objective: To help participants understand how to align resumes with job requirements by creating and justifying tailored resumes for specific roles, enhancing their practical knowledge of recruitment processes.
Round 1: Job Descriptions Game
We conducted a Job Descriptions Game where each team was assigned a specific job role. Teams were tasked with creating and presenting a resume tailored to that role, including relevant qualifications, skills, and experiences. Each team also had to justify their choices, explaining why the candidate was suitable for the job based on the job description. The activity helped participants understand the importance of aligning resumes with job requirements and enhanced their practical understanding of recruitment processes.
Team Size: All members should involve in this activity
Preparation Time: Allotted 10 minutes to the teams for the preparation of job Description and also for selection of the suitable one Candidate.
Time Limit: Allotted 5 minutes to justify their candidate.
Judging Criteria: Based on their job Description and Job role, Justify their choices.
Round 2: Real-Time Stock Investment Simulation
Time: 3:45PM-4:40PM
Judges: Dr. Vishnu Prasanna
Objectives: To understand real-world stock market operations by simulating investments, tracking stock performance, and analysing returns based on market trends and company insights.
Each team had given time to prepare a PowerPoint presentation on real-time stock investment simulation. Our team of four members selected real company stocks to “invest” in and tracked their performance over a specific period. Each member contributed to researching and analysing market trends, company performance, and industry potential. During the presentation, we explained which stocks gave the highest returns and shared the reasons behind our investment decisions, helping us understand the real-world functioning of the stock market.
Results and Ranking: Final scores were compiled based on performance across all two rounds. The results are as follows:

Outcomes:
- Improved Decision-Making Skills: Participants learned to analyze job descriptions and stock market data to make well-informed choices, improving their ability to think critically before deciding.
- Enhanced Practical Knowledge: The resume-building task taught them how to tailor content for specific roles, while the stock simulation gave them hands-on experience in understanding investments, risks, and returns.
- Strengthened Analytical Abilities: Teams practiced evaluating company performance, industry trends, and candidate qualifications, which improved their ability to assess data and justify their decisions logically.
- Better Teamwork and Communication: Both activities encouraged collaboration, where participants shared ideas, created strategies, and presented their findings, boosting confidence and teamwork.
Conclusion:
The Capacity Development Activity was a resounding success, offering students an experiential learning platform to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world invest contexts. The Team Sigma demonstrated exceptional planning and leadership in executing this event. Special thanks to the judges and faculty coordinators for their invaluable support.
