Organized by the Department of CSE (IoT and Cyber Security including Blockchain)
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (IoT and Cyber Security including Blockchain) conducted a comprehensive 3-day workshop on the Internet of Things (IoT) from 18th to 20th November 2024. The workshop was designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge of modern IoT hardware platforms and their real-time applications.
Participants were introduced to key development boards and microcontrollers widely used in the IoT domain, including:
Arduino Uno – for basic prototyping and sensor interfacing,
Jetson Nano Kit – for edge AI computing and computer vision tasks,
ESP32 – for wireless communication and low-power IoT applications,
Raspberry Pi – for full-fledged IoT project development using Linux-based systems.
The workshop emphasized hands-on learning, enabling students to interface various sensors and devices, understand data transmission, and explore edge computing capabilities. It provided a valuable opportunity to explore hardware-software integration, IoT protocols, and real-world use cases, preparing students to build scalable and efficient IoT solutions.
The event saw enthusiastic participation and active engagement, further strengthening the department’s mission to nurture industry-ready professionals in the field of IoT and Cyber Security.
