The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) successfully inaugurated its department forum AI2 on 05/10/2024 at Yoga Hall, Alva’s College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Mijar, Moodbidri. The event marked a significant milestone in fostering academic excellence, research, and industry collaboration within the AIML domain.

The inauguration ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. Harish Kunder, HoD, Department of AIML, followed by the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge. Distinguished guests, including Mr. Abhijith Shetty, VP, Delivery and cloud service, Juego Studio, Mangalore, graced the occasion and shared their valuable insights on the evolving landscape of AI and ML. In the absence of Dr. Peter Fernandes, Principal, Dr. Richard Pinto, Dean (Research) presided over the program and highlighted on latest innovations and challenges in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

The keynote address was delivered by an esteemed expert in the field Mr. Abhijith Shetty, who emphasized the impact of AI and ML on various industries and encouraged students to actively participate in research and innovation. The forum aims to serve as a platform for students and faculty to engage in discussions, workshops, hackathons, and industry collaborations. The session was highly interactive, with students enthusiastically engaging in discussions and seeking guidance for their academic and professional journeys.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Dilip Kumar, President, AI2, acknowledging the efforts of faculty, students, and organizers in making the inauguration a grand success. The AIML Department Forum is set to become a hub of innovation and learning, promoting knowledge-sharing and skill development among aspiring AI and ML professionals.
